PSYCHOSTICK Completes Work On New Album
January 24, 2009Phoenix, Arizona comedy/metal band PSYCHOSTICK has finished recording its new album, "Sandwich". The 24-track opus was recorded by guitarist Josh Key at Toxic Recording in Gilbert, Arizona and features new members Jake McReynolds on second guitar and former INDORPHINE vocalist Jimmy Grant on bass. A May 5 release (U.S. only) via RockRidge Music is expected.
"Sandwich" is the follow-up to PSYCHOSTICK's 2006 release "We Couldn't Think of a Title". Songtitles set to apper on the CD include "Caffeine", "Minimum Rage" and "#1 Radio $ingle". The band also recorded album fundraiser track "373 Thank Yous". 373 represents the number of fans — who are individually thanked in the song itself — that donated $50 or more to help the band pay for studio time and equipment. The track has a running time of 14:19.
Video footage from the studio can be viewed below.
PSYCHOSTICK gained notoriety in the spring of 2007 when the band's song "Beer is Good.... And Stuff" received heavy airplay on XM Radio's Liquid Metal for seven weeks.
